I’m a potter based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, creating functional ceramics that bring warmth and beauty to everyday life.

My journey

My work has evolved from a deep appreciation for the tactile qualities of clay and the meditative process of throwing on the wheel. Each piece begins as a conversation between my hands and the clay, guided by years of experience but always open to the unexpected.

Process & philosophy

Most of my work is thrown on the wheel, with other pieces made using clay slabs. Firing is in an electric kiln to stoneware temperatures, so pieces are strong and durable.

I hope my work is enjoyed on a daily basis and imparts a visual and tactile connection found in the handmade. Each piece carries the marks of the making process — the gentle spiral from the wheel, the subtle variations in glaze, the organic forms that emerge from working with clay.

Materials & techniques

• Clay — high-fired stoneware for strength and durability
• Forming — primarily wheel-thrown, with some hand-built pieces
• Glazes — food-safe glazes in earth tones and natural colours
• Firing — electric kiln to cone 10 (stoneware temperatures)

My studio is on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where I work surrounded by the natural beauty that inspires my forms and colour palette.
